Safety and fairness are top priorities at United Truck And Tractor Pullers. That's why we have clear rules and guidelines for each class of tractor or truck. Our regulations protect our drivers and ensure everyone gets a fair chance to become a champion.
The rules we have outlined below can be updated by our board members if there are changes in the sport. We hope to keep our events the best they can be while keeping our participants safe. We've been in business for over 25 years, and we're operated by an experienced board of directors and chairman.

Specific regulations for each competition class
Street legal, 6,500 lbs maximum weight with driver (up to 7,000 lbs allowed with a 22" hitch height). Naturally aspirated gasoline or propane only. 496 Ci maximum engine displacement. DOT-approved tires only.
Gasoline up to 7,500 lbs and diesel up to 26,000 lbs, classified by tiered hitch heights (26", 24", 22", 20"). Nitrous oxide, propane and oxygen extenders are prohibited. OEM restraint system required.
Current state registration required, 8,500 lbs maximum weight with driver (up to 9,000 lbs allowed with a 22" hitch height). Stock-appearing OEM diesel engine and drop-in style turbo (no VGT conversions). DOT street tires only. #1/#2 diesel fuel only.
Modified General Rules apply. 8,000 lbs maximum weight (7,900 lbs dry with ice allowance). 460 ci maximum engine displacement. Smooth-faced 3.0" turbo inlet, no map ring. Diesel fuel only.
Modified General Rules apply. 7,800 lbs maximum weight. 460 ci maximum engine displacement. Smooth-faced 3.6" turbo inlet, no map ring. Diesel fuel only.
6,200 lbs maximum weight with driver. 530 ci (±2%) maximum engine displacement. Cast iron block with 2 valves per cylinder in the original engine compartment. Racing fuel allowed, no alcohol. Maximum tire size 31" pulling or 36" DOT.
6,200 lbs maximum weight with driver. 565 ci maximum engine displacement, 2 valves per cylinder, 4.9" maximum bore spacing. Gasoline or alcohol permitted, no nitrous oxide. 31" pulling or 36" DOT tires. 133" maximum wheelbase.
6,200 lbs maximum weight with driver. Pro Mod 650 ci (±1%), Super Mod 575 ci (±1%) — naturally aspirated gasoline or alcohol. Factory-produced steel pickup/van bodies. 133" maximum wheelbase. Maximum 18" wide, 34" tall pulling tires only.
6,200 lbs maximum weight with driver. Single 8-cylinder automotive engine, 2 valves per cylinder. Modified 2WD limited to 565 ci (±1%); Super Mod 2WD limited to 575 ci (±1%). Five-point harness mandatory on supercharged vehicles.
Modified General Rules apply. 7,500 lbs maximum weight. 460 ci maximum engine displacement. OEM or tube chassis allowed with 158" maximum wheelbase (161" for OEM). Up to 3 turbochargers in 2-stage configurations. Diesel fuel only. Maximum 112" tire circumference, no more than 18" wide before cutting.
Modified General Rules apply. Stock, agricultural or OEM replacement blocks only — no automotive blocks. Maximum 8 cylinders and 2 valves per cylinder. Up to 4 turbochargers (3 pressure stages max). 114" maximum wheelbase, 13' maximum length. Classes accepted vary by location: Hot Farm, Super Farm, Light Limited, Super Stock, Limited Pro Stock, Pro Stock, Unlimited Modified and Super Modified.
